I have been a regular visitor to these mountains for over 30 years and I have always been fascinated by their enigmatic moods and ever-changing patterns of colour and light.
This collection of original watercolour and oil paintings of The Scottish Highlands, The Lake District and Snowdonia coveys my interpretation of the stunning beauty of this mountain landscape.
I have used a variety of media for my paintings including Langton Rough and both 600gsm and 300gsm Saunders Waterford Rough Papers. The Saunders papers; they interpret craggy landscapes very well, they are rigid, they do not require stretching, and they also frame exceedingly well
For the majority of my large original oil paintings I have used Alkyd quick drying oils on a variety of papers, boards and canvas which include Daler oil primed board and primed cotton canvas board. Smaller oil paintings have been produced on a light textured oil painting paper or canvas on board.
